Boat tracks minimal analytics to improve the product and fix bugs. Everything is transparent, consent-based, and opt-out friendly - and fully GDPR compliant for users in the EU. We never sell your data or use it for third-party advertising. What we track (when enabled): PostHog for product analytics (anonymized usage patterns like which features are used, how often, and where users get stuck), Sentry for error tracking (crash reports, stack traces, and bugs), Vercel Analytics for performance monitoring (page load times, API response speeds). Session Replays Session replay privacy: Boat masks all visible text in PostHog session recordings and blocks media surfaces (images/videos/canvas), so replays focus on interaction flow rather than note content. You control what is tracked. Boat still works perfectly if you opt out - no degraded functionality.
