Tap Capture in the footer to open a blank note from any screen. There are no required fields. Type your thought, tap save. Done. The Capture button sits in the footer on every screen - home, a list, search, settings. New notes go to Dock - your inbox - until you move them to a list. You don't need to pick a list, add a title, or configure anything before saving. Come back later, or don't. The goal: your thought is captured before it disappears. Everything else is optional. Adding media at capture You don't have to save a text note first. From the capture screen you can immediately attach a photo, record a video, capture a voice memo, or start a sketch - before saving anything. Tap the media icon in the capture toolbar to open the picker. Clipboard Paste a URL and Boat detects it as a link automatically. Paste an image and it attaches as a photo. If you copy something to your clipboard before opening Capture, Boat can offer to add it to the note.
