Boat works completely offline - no internet, no Google account required. Capture notes, search, and organise on your device. Sync happens automatically when you reconnect.
Boat captures notes to your device immediately - no internet required. You can use Boat as a completely local notebook without ever connecting a Google account. What works offline Everything. Capture notes, attach photos and audio, search, filter, organise across lists, add flags, set nudge reminders - all of it works whether you're online or not. Notes save the moment you tap the button. What happens when you reconnect If you're already signed in to Google, Boat queues every change made offline and pushes them automatically when your connection returns. Nothing is lost. Local-only use You don't need a Google account at all. Boat works indefinitely as a private, local notebook. Your notes live in your browser's local storage and are not sent anywhere. One thing to be aware of: if you clear your browser data, or switch to a different device without having connected Google, your notes on that device won't be recoverable - Google sync is how Boat moves data between devices and maintains a backup. See Multi Device to connect Google and use Boat across devices, or Automatic Backups to understand how your data is protected when connected.
