Protect Boat with a PIN or biometric lock.

Set a PIN or use biometric authentication to lock Boat when it's not in use. Enable lock in User → Security. Choose a PIN of 4 or more digits, or use Face ID, Touch ID, or fingerprint if your device supports it. Lock prevents someone from picking up your device and opening Boat. It does not encrypt your notes - your data is still in your Google Sheet and accessible from there or from another device. Forgotten PIN There is no PIN reset. If you lose your PIN, your only option is to wipe local data and rebuild from your Google Sheet. This only works if your notes were synced before you were locked out - another reason to keep sync active.
